The C.A.S.E. for CASA

Lancaster, PA (September 5, 2013) – Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Lancaster County is providing you an opportunity to make a difference in the life of a child who has suffered abuse and neglect.  In October, November, and December, CASA is hosting monthly Community Awareness Sessions on Engagement (C.A.S.E.).    The sessions are free and open to the public.

Join us on one of the following days:
Tuesday, October 8, 6:00 pm at Lancaster Public Library, 125 North Duke Street in Lancaster
Wednesday, November 13, 12:00 pm at Ephrata Public Library, 550 S Reading Road in Ephrata
Tuesday, December 10, 6:00 pm at LGH Suburban Outpatient Pavilion, 2100 Harrisburg Pike

CASA will present not only the mission and vision of the organization, but address common myths that surround children in foster care and discuss how you can lift up a child’s voice, a child’s life.

Come see audiovisual testimony from youth who have had an active child advocate in their lives during their childhood.  As children, these young adults were touched by CASA and will share the long term impact of having a qualified, compassionate adult fight for and protect their right to be safe, to be treated with dignity and respect, and to learn and grow in the security of a loving family.

Executive Director, Jessica Laspino stated, "We are excited about providing the community this opportunity to learn more about CASA of Lancaster County and how we impact your neighborhood.  CASA is central to fulfilling society’s most fundamental obligation to children – the right to grow up in a safe, permanent and nurturing home.”

The sessions are free of charge and open to the public.  RSVP is required due to limited seating.  We know how important your time is and our program will not exceed 60 minutes.  To reserve your seat, please contact CASA by calling (717)208-3280 or email casa@casalancaster.org.

CASA of Lancaster County provides court appointed volunteer advocacy for abused and neglected children in the belief that every child deserves a safe, nurturing, and permanent home.
