Extraordinary Give

As a CASA Volunteer, I am the link from where that child is to where that child wants to be. - CASA Volunteer

CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocate.

We train community volunteers (CASAs) to advocate for the best interest of abused and neglected children in foster care in Lancaster County. They serve as the "eyes and ears" of the child along with caseworkers, judges, foster parents, teachers, therapists, and doctors.

Our CASA volunteers are sometimes the only dedicated, consistent, and caring adult presence in a child's life. They know the color of the child's eyes. They know the child loves chicken nuggets and Sprite. And they work to pave the way to a safe, loving, and permanent home for every child.

Our CASAs have advocated for over 900 children since we began in 2009.

Each picture below tells a story about the connection a child in foster care shares with their CASA.
