D'Arcy Crocker

Start date with CASA: October 1, 2013

Education and work history: I graduated from Bowdoin College with a B.A. in American History, worked in advertising for 10 years, took many paid years off to raise children and tend to my own parents, and then came late to the world of CASA and the child welfare system. My affiliation with CASA began as a volunteer in 2010 and I joined the CASA organization as a Volunteer Manager in 2013. I have served as the Program Director since 2015.

What is the best part of your job? I am inspired every day to be the best “advocates’ advocate” I can be by the dedication and passion our volunteers display in the work they do to improve the lives of children in foster care. I like that CASAs contribute to evening the playing field for children who have had a challenging start in life.

What do you do in your spare time? In my spare time I like to read, stream, eat well, garden, take long walks, and drive the beautiful backroads of Lancaster County listening to loud rock ‘n roll.

If you could be an Olympic athlete, in which sport would you compete? Equestrian events

What was your favorite childhood book? King of the Wind and/or Parsley

If you could have dinner with anyone from history, who would it be? Sandra Day O'Connor or Robert Caro
