Start date with CASA: August 24, 2009

What is the best part of your job? The people - I get to work with an amazing team of colleagues and board members while getting to know our CASA volunteers and the community members who support our mission. Honestly, being a transplant in this community, I feel so lucky that I have crossed paths with so many passionate, intelligent, and giving people. Of course some have been fleeting interactions while others have led to collaborative working relationships and deep friendships that I will forever be grateful for.

What do you do in your spare time? I am blessed to have two daughters at home who keep my on my toes, so between being the all encompassing role of a parent and working full time, spare time is not always in my lexicon. However, I love reading fiction, watching escapist television and movies, spending time outdoors with my family, and laughing endlessly with friends.

If you could be an Olympic athlete, in which sport would you compete? Ski jumping - please note I have zero talent or ability in this and it terrifies me, but if I am dreaming of a "what if," I figured I should aim for what I think would be terrifying and amazing.

What was your favorite childhood book? The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle

If you could have dinner with anyone from history, who would it be? Elie Wiesel
